Andres is a junior at UC Berkeley majoring in computer science. When he's not busy studying, he's spending time with his family and friends in the Bay Area. He's pursuing a career in product management and spent his summers interning and traveling. His favorite moments since graduating MIHS, include watching his brother win EVO 2023 in Las Vegas, surfing with his girlfriend in Portugal, and celebrating Chinese New Year in San Francisco.
Since graduating from MIHS, Anna has earned degrees in Communication Studies and French from Gonzaga University. During her time there, she actively participated in the Gonzaga Student Body Association, representing the College of Arts and Sciences and serving on the senate as a Junior Class representative. Her studies included a semester abroad in Aix-en-Provence, France, where she honed her language skills and traveled across Europe. After graduation, Anna began her career at PepsiCo as a Sales Associate on the Frito-Lay team. In April 2024, she took on the role of District Sales Manager where she now oversees a sales team in the Portland, Oregon area. In her free time, Anna enjoys hiking, swimming, and exploring the great outdoors, embracing her love for adventure.
With the help of this scholarship, Lindy graduated with a degree in Music Education and has taught elementary music at the Puyallup tribe’s Chief Leschi Schools for four years. Half way through her university studies, she completed a volunteer mission trip in the Netherlands. After graduation, she married her now husband and in 2024, welcomed her little son into the world. She loves participating in opportunities to connect with and serve people and volunteers as a youth leader with her church. She further pursued her education and graduated with a masters degree in curriculum and instruction and hopes to continue to work with children while also growing with her own family.
From High School - Special Ed Program - volunteer multiple places(1 year)- worked at a Sports Warehouse(2 years)- Bellevue College- restaurant (2 years) - drug retail (4 years) - worked two jobs beginning of covid (essential retail [2 years] / pharmacy [5 years]) - a certified Technician at a medical pharmacy.
Since graduating MIHS in 2012, Lauren attended the University of Washington Foster School of Business with a focus on Human Resource Management. Throughout college, she worked a multitude of jobs from HR Intern at Oki Golf, Subscriptions Sales Intern at Seattle Theatre Group, and various restaurant jobs from a Jewish Deli to the first Evergreens Salad to wood-fired pizza. Once graduating in 2016, she started her sales career as a Sales Recruiter before realizing she wanted to stay closer to the food & beverage industry and moved over as a salesperson for Taphandles, selling custom manufactured tap handles to breweries. At Taphandles she worked her way from Sales Associate to Sales Manager. She’s most recently continued her food & beverage passion as a Customer Growth Consultant working for Toast, an all-in-one restaurant technology company. Still living in Seattle she enjoys making the most of the outdoors with her two dogs.
After graduating from MIHS, Ruthie pursued her passion for communications at the University of North Carolina Charlotte, where she distinguished herself as Student Body Vice President and immersed herself in campus life. Since then she has been working in digital and experiential marketing, serving patients and healthcare professionals across various companies. Currently residing in Los Angeles with her husband and beloved dog. Ruthie finds joy in frequent travels and embraces outdoor adventures, including hiking, scuba diving, and exploring nature's wonders.
Adrianna Silva, DNAP, CRNA, ARNP, is a board-certified nurse anesthesiologist. She grew up in Mercer Island, Washington. She graduated with honors from the University of Washington with a B.S. in Nursing and a minor in Global Health. She traveled to Honduras and Panama on medical missions and was also selected as the 2014 School of Nursing Gonfalonier. She later completed her doctorate at the Providence Sacred Heart Medical Center Gonzaga University Nurse Anesthesia Program where she received both local and national anesthesia scholarships. She has held leadership positions with American Association of Nurse Anesthesiology and locally with the Washington Association of Nurse Anesthetists. She currently practices at Harborview Medical Center in the Department of Anesthesiology and also provides mobile anesthesia services throughout the Pacific Northwest. She loves spending time with family, traveling, playing tennis, coaching CrossFit at her husband’s gym, and eating tasty food – especially ice cream.
Ari has spent almost twelve years at Microsoft in various marketing, strategic alliances, and engineering product management roles across the Office, Education, and Cybersecurity. Ari has an undergraduate business degree from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!), where he met his wife (Lauren). In his spare time, Ari is an avid long distance runner having completed many marathons and uses the training to chase around his two young daughters (Ava and Eliana) and puppy (Stella). Ari lives with his family outside of Los Angeles in Encino.
Marina graduated Mercer Island High School in 2007. She got her Bachelor's degree in June 2010 in Kinesiology from Western Washington University and Doctorate of Physical Therapy from University of Washington in 2013. Marina worked as a PT and traveled out of state as a military wife for 9 years before her husband medically retired from the Army. Now Marina is the Supervisor for Inpatient Physical Therapy at the Veterans Health Administration in Seattle. On the evenings and weekends Marina enjoys spending time with her husband and two kids.
After graduating from MIHS in 2004, Leeching attended the University of Washington and earned bachelors degrees in Biology and Business Administration. She began working for her family's business, Viet Wah, an Asian grocery store. Today she is vice president of the company. Leeching also serves on the boards of two local community organizations: Friends of Little Saigon and International Community Health Services (ICHS) Foundation. She currently lives on Mercer Island with her husband, two children, and their dog.
